Leg pain can happen for various reasons. Some causes may involve muscle trauma, joint trauma, nerve trauma, or poor blood circulation. There is one condition that is good to know about, which is called peripheral artery disease, commonly referred to as PAD. This occurs when the arteries that supply blood to the legs and feet get narrow or blocked. Symptoms of PAD pain normally manifest when engaging in some sort of physical activity.   What Is Peripheral Artery Disease? This disease mostly affects the legs. Peripheral arterial disease results from the deposition of plaque on the arteries, and this causes constriction of the blood vessels and thus low flow of blood.
